HADIT Home Success Stories
- The first long term resident success story was Army veteran Richard West, his wife Lori and daughters Anna and Danielle. The family came to the Home between jobs and residences. After Lori died in a horrific car accident, the Home took care of Richard’s daughters for more than four years as he sought better employment and a home of their own. Today Richard runs a successful home improvement company in Franklinton, NC. He still regularly visits the Home with his veteran brother, as well as Anna and her boyfriend for monthly food boxes.
- Another Army veteran success story is Feno Emali. She recently confided at a group meeting that she was secretly contemplating suicide the day that she met Mr. James. At that time no one was aware of her situation, and she was treated with respect the same as everyone. She now has a sense of worth and wants to help others.
The HADIT Home makes a difference for those they serve even if it be one veteran at a time. One life changed – one life saved is a valuable contribution to our country.
